The Trumpet Mariachi Source was created to provide educational content to trumpet players that will help them become successful in the mariachi industry. FREE Song tutorials are uploaded weekly to YouTube and act as the backbone of Trumpet Mariachi Source. Premium features will help students gain knowledge in music theory, ear training, solfeo, changing keys, and eventually will help them gain both the abilities to replicate/distinguish styles and musical independence.

Christopher Rubalcava

Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry (California Polytechnic University, Pomona)

Christopher Rubalcava is a lifelong musician that began to play the trumpet at an early age. After years of study and experience in performing, he began to direct his Mariachi Corazón de Mi Tierra established in 2007. Some of his performance highlights include being a member of Mariachi Los Rams (the official Mariachi of The NFL Los Angeles Rams), Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuellar, opening for Gabriel Iglesias at a sold out crowd in Staples Center, performing at numerous venues such as the Soraya Performing arts center, and the Ford Theatre as well as backing popular artists such as Angela Aguilar, Ana Barbara, Paquita la del Barrio, Leo Dan, and Pedro Fernandez. He currently works as a teacher for the Jose Hernandez Mariachi Academy in the Santa Ana School District, helping spread the mariachi tradition to the next generation.
